Gigged with Zegg in Blowing Rock, NC this last weekend at Canyons of The Blue Ridge. Other recent gigs with Zegg have included a wine tasting event at Koka Booth (Triangle Uncorked) and The Durham Beer Festival. Gigging with Sean Aitken and plans to resume rehearsals with Rebecca Lynne again.

Continuing progress with Stephen of Traces of Morrow with recording. Gigging regularly with Zegg, Monkey Navigated Robots, and Traces of Morrow. The "Back in the Saddle Sessions" have begun with modern day troubadour JT REPO with whom we recorded an album called "The Novelty Shoppe" in the not too distant past. Helping Hank Smith of Barefoot Manner mix his solo album. Also, aquired a new drumset - a 4-piece gretch catalina club kit... drums-o-mania!

At Bongo John Studios, Stephen Jenkins is recording a number of tunes in different genres. Zegg is beginning to gig out regularly (we had a blast at O'Malley's for St. Paddy's - a packed crowd from afternoon till closing). Monkey Navigated Robots is introducing a possible additional member so that I can concentrate on percussion and keyboards. Rebecca Lynne, Jessi Hamilton, and myself are gearing up for a gig and possible recording arrangement - don't worry, Rebecca's CD should be finished by late Summer of this year. Helping Mike Rosado (drummer of Kennebec and Triple Fret) with his studio as well as Mark Winston's studio
nov/dec -
Recording Jason Hoover, who has worked with Mayhap, as well as Stephen Jenkins of Traces of Morrow at Bongo John Studios. MNR wrapping up three song demo. Continuing work with Rebecca Lynne on CD. Contemplating doing another Bongo John album.

Played percussion with Jason Adamo at both the VIP tent for Hootie and The Blowfish/Better Than Ezra at All Tel Pavillion as well as opening for The Presidents of The United States of America concert at Moore Square, both in Raleigh, NC. Also played with Jason again at Moore Square for the Street Painting Festival.
The studio has expanded into a room twice the size of the previous room. Soon to be finishing mixes for Leah Magner. Jason and Rebecca Lynne are showing up to the studio regularly for recording and rehearsals.
And I'm proud to announce that Zegg has found a new bass player: Shane Bullis - a wonderfully gifted multi-instrumentalist !
Monkey Navigated Robots will be performing at The Pour House Oct. 9th. Come on out !

Sebastien having left the country to pursue science, Zegg will be actively auditioning new players by mid August. Recording singer songwriter Leah Magner at Bongo John Studios. Mark Abbott is recording at BJS, as well as Rebecca Lynne. Mike Babyak of Triple Fret has joined Monkey Navigated Robots. I will be going on the road with Jason Adamo for four days the last week of July.

Well, it looks like Sebastien could be leaving Zegg. He also played bass guitar for Rebecca Lynne. He will be living in the Caribbean if all goes well. Getting back in touch with Mark Duncan to possibly do more scoring for his film work. Been gigging quite a bit with Jason Adamo in Chapel Hill and Raleigh. Getting back into teaching drums and percussion. Leonard Kishore, Hank Smith (both of Barefoot Manner), and myself have been jamming together, tentatively going under the name, "Monkey Navigated Robots". Working with Tobin Smith on his demo as well.
march/april -
Zegg opened for Garaj Mahal at Lincoln Theatre. Sat in with Jason Adamo for several shows (he also recorded several tracks at my studio - two of the tracks I'm adding percussion). Working on CD project for Rebecca Lynne at my studio. Doing session work for The Electric Church. Played at White Lake with Sean Aitken at a camp for young adults. Making progress on the third movement for my concept album "Oppenheimer In Dust Trees".
